A. Personal Information Provided by You

  • Through the contact form on this site: your name, e-mail address, a subject line and the message you write. We e-mail a one-time code to that address and store the message only once the code has been entered, so we know the address belongs to you.
  • When you book online: booking runs on AutoLeap, an external scheduling service, on its own website. Whatever you enter there is collected by AutoLeap under its privacy policy, not by this site.
  • When you bring a vehicle to the shop: your phone number, what you have asked us to look at, and the record of the work carried out. This is taken in the shop, not through this website.
  • Payment: payment is taken in the shop once the work is finished. This website processes no payments and stores no card details.

B. Vehicle Information (shop records)

To provide efficient repair services, we collect:

  • Vehicle Identification: Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), make, model, year, mileage, and license plate number.
  • Service Records: Diagnostic findings and details of the work performed on your vehicle.

C. Automatically Collected Technical Data

  • Device & Usage Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and details about how you interact with our website.
  • Analytics cookies: we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to see which pages and search terms bring people here. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your page views, IP address, approximate location and browser details. We never send it your name, e-mail address, phone number or the contents of a message. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on, or by blocking third-party cookies.
  • Google Maps: the contact and booking pages embed a Google map. Loading it allows Google to set its own cookies and to see your IP address, under Google's privacy policy rather than this one.
  • Security: we keep a short-lived record of the IP address and e-mail address used to request a verification code, so the contact form cannot be abused. It is used for nothing else.
  • No advertising trackers: this site carries no advertising or social-media pixel of any kind.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information strictly for business and operational purposes, including:

  • Managing Reservations: Scheduling service visits, confirming bookings, and communicating updates regarding your service.
  • Status Updates: Keeping you informed about the repair status of your vehicle by email or phone.
  • Customer Support: Responding to inquiries, processing feedback, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Security & Maintenance: Protecting our website from cyber threats, monitoring system performance, and preventing fraudulent bookings.

3. How We Share and Disclose Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We only share your data under the following strictly defined circumstances:

  • Service Providers: this site runs on Amazon Web Services in the Canada (Central) region, which is where contact-form messages are stored. Online booking is handled by AutoLeap on its own site, and the analytics and the embedded map are provided by Google. AutoLeap and Google process what reaches them under their own privacy policies.
  • Measurement: Google Analytics receives the page views and technical details described above. Nothing you type into a form is sent to it.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required to do so by Canadian law, court orders, or valid government requests under PIPEDA guidelines.

4. Data Security and Retention

Data Protection

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your personal and vehicle data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Online data transmissions (such as reservations) are secured using encryption technologies.

Retention Period

We retain your personal and vehicle information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, comply with our legal obligations, or resolve business disputes. Once data is no longer required, it is securely destroyed or anonymized.
